In the past 2 weeks I’ve decided to take on mediation as a daily habit, with so many things going on daily its always great to detach from the world just for a bit. Here are the reasons why i started meditation daily.

me·di·a·tion
ˌmēdēˈāSH(ə)n/
noun
intervention in a dispute in order to resolve it; arbitration.
Meditation Benefits

1. Improved concentration A clear mind makes you more productive, especially in creative fields of study like writing.

2. Less bothered by little things Do you sometimes allow yourself to get upset by little things? It is the nature of the mind to magnify small things into serious problems. Deep thinking helps us detach. We learn to live in the here and now, rather than worrying about the past or future. We do not worry about (without any point or purpose) things, but see the bigger picture.

3. Better Health There have been many studies pointing to the health benefits of deep thinking. The reason is that deep thinking reduces stress levels and helps (to reduce) fear and stress. If we can reduce stress, many health benefits follow.

4. Knowledge of Self Deep thinking enables us to have a deeper understanding of our inner self.Through deep thinking we can gain a better understanding of our life‘s purpose.

 Types of meditation

There is also a very great method of meditation that is known as heartfulness meditation. Its simplicity is its greatest appeal. You can find out more on http://heartfulness.org/en/

PS: Wondering why you put in the definition of “mediation” instead of meditation.
